We are delighted that you are considering St. Joseph's School for your child's education. St. Joseph's is its own Admissions Authority which means that the governors are responsible for the allocation of places although Walsall Children's Services do undertake some of the administration side of the process on our behalf.

Detailed below is further information regarding admissions to the school but if you require any further information, please contact the school office on 0121 568 6496.

Nursery Admissions

If you would like your child to be considered for a place in our Nursery class, please contact the school office for an application form. You will then need to return it along with your child's birth certificate and baptismal certificate if they have been baptised Catholic.  This will complete the application process.  In the Spring Term prior to the academic year that your child would be eligible to start Nursery we will then write to offer places. If your application is successful, children are allocated either a morning or afternoon Nursery place to begin the September following their third birthday.

Reception Admissions

Within Walsall children are admitted to a Reception class on a full time basis from the September following their fourth birthday. Applications must be made online to Walsall Children's Services.  When making your application, please ensure that you complete a Supplementary Information Form and return this directly to us at school. You can obtain one from Walsall Children Service's or the school office.  Please note that if your child is baptised Catholic, you must attach a copy of their baptismal certificate in order for the correct priority to be given to your application.

Mid-Year Admissions

If you wish to apply for your child to join St. Joseph's at any time other than at the normal Reception admissions round, you will need to contact us at the school to request an application form. Completed forms need to be returned to the Chair of the Governors Admissions Committee c/o St. Joseph's School.

Please find below our admissions arrangements for the academic years 2016-2017 and 2017-2018.
