Year 1 had so much fun reading 365 penguins as part of our maths day. The children coloured in their own penguin and grouped penguins into 10's and 5's.

In maths, the children are learning about different positions. To learn about this, we went outside and took part in some class races and we talked about who came 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th. Well done Year 1! ��

After our wonderful workshop at Cannock Chase all about toys through time, the Year 1 children wanted to make their own puppet shows to perform to the rest of the class. They used different voices and sounds to bring the puppets to life. Well done Year 1! ��

In Science, the children were looking at different properties of materials. The children went outside to build their own walls out of wood to see if it would be a good material to use and if it is strong. Well done Year 1!

Today, Year 1 visited Cannock Chase Museum and took part in a workshop all about toys through time. The children made their own peg doll, watched a Punch and Judy show and toured the museum looking at different toys through time. Well done Year 1! ��
