Summer 2
We visited the Leicester Space Centre. We learned about Space and being an astronaut.
Pep the Poet visited and we performed his poems.
We participated in a Retreat Day at St Thomas More. We reflected on Pope Francis' letter Laudato Si and considered how we can take care of the world God created.
We had a wonderful time at Woodlands. We climbed a very high climbing tower, zip lined over a lake, learned how to light fires and build shelters. We threw axes and performed circus skills.
After Mass at St Joseph's Church, we worked with members of the Parish to tidy, weed and garden in the grounds of the church. We helped to plant flowers and contribute to our Parish community.
Parents joined us for our end of the day prayer time. We thought about water and how we can sometimes take it for granted. We considered the work of CAFOD in helping our world communities have access to clean water. We thanked God for His wonderful creation.
In computing, we have been coding to produce quizzes using IF, THEN and ELSE statements.
We have designed and created healthy Funky Fruity Yoghurt desserts thinking about where our food comes from, how to have a healthy diet and deciding which of the ingredients we like to eat and why. We had a lovely time chopping, cutting and creating our desserts.
