Heavy and Light
In Maths this week, we have been exploring heavy & light. We took different objects from around the classroom and put them on some scales and decided which was heavy and which was light.

Jasper's Beanstalk 🫘
In Nursery, we have been reading the story 'Jasper's Beanstalk'.
In the story it mentions snails and slugs, so Mrs Bamforth brought in her African Land Snail pet from home.
We really enjoyed our special visitor and helped feed him and wash him. Gary really likes it in Nursery so has decided to stay for the week for a little holiday.
In our maths learning we gave been exploring shapes.

Wednesday 12th March, 2025
🐑 Farm on wheels🐑
Today we were visited by the farm on wheels. We enjoyed meeting, stroking and feeding some different Farm animals.
We met goats, sheep, ducks, chickens and guinea pigs. The children were amazed when seeing the chicken and could not believe that soon their baby chicks will grow this big.
We have been exploring our new Literacy text, Jack and the beanstalk.

Goodbye Chicks 🐣
We have loved having the chicks in Nursery but it is time to say goodbye. We will miss their noisy chirping.

World Book Day 2025
We have enjoyed coming to school in our pyjamas. We have explored the story Dear Zoo and our new story Jack and the Beanstalk. We can retell the story of Dear Zoo using actions and words. We even made a beanstalk for Jack with the building blocks. We have also made beans out of playdough and spent lots of time reading to each other in the reading area.

Nursery has had a very special delivery today!
🥚 Our eggs have arrived!🥚
We have 7 chicken eggs staying nice and warm in our incubator before they hatch later this week 🐣
Our week this week has been taken over by the arrival of our chick eggs. We have been watching them hatch and grow 🐣
