Celebrating Black History Month with Dancin' on Extreme. The Dancin' on Extreme project is rooted in expressive and interdisciplinary movement and dance to music, using contemporary dance influenced by African – Caribbean storytelling. The pupils embraced the ‘extremes’ of Antarctica, moving through imagined wind, windy oceans, heavy snow and the colds sensory textures - exploring the resilience and human survival in extreme environments whilst celebrating and respecting natures power and need for ice to preserve earths delicate balance by looking after and caring for God's creation. It was inspired by Dwayne Fields who was the first black Briton to walk the magnetic north pole.
