The police came to visit Reception

PCSO Tony Hinton came to visit us in Reception this morning as part of our topic 'People Who Help Us'.

We asked some very good questions and learnt a lot about the role of the emergency services and why it is so important to be helpful.

We enjoyed talking about the different pieces of equipment and uniform that help Tony to do his job and to stay safe too.

🎊Celebrating Chinese New Year in Reception🎊

Today, our lovely Reception class immersed themselves in the vibrant traditions of Chinese New Year! 🎉✨

The children had a fantastic day filled with exciting activities that brought the story to life.

They kick-started the celebrations by crafting beautiful Chinese lanterns and decorating their very own fans for a dance in the afternoon. 🏮💃

The creativity and enthusiasm were simply remarkable!

Not only did they enjoy the arts and crafts, but they also indulged in a tasting session of delicious Chinese foods! 🍜🥠

It was a delightful experience for everyone.

The story tray was a also a big hit, with the little ones using masks to narrate their own versions of the tale, sparking their imaginations and storytelling skills! 🎭📚

We are so proud of our Reception class for embracing this wonderful cultural celebration.
