Year 1 invited their parents into school today to help them create ocean themed recycled artwork. The children and their families used recyclable items from around the house to create wonderful, inspiring art to remind us all to protect our oceans. Thank you to all the parents and carers that attended.
Year 3 have created a banner out of recycled materials - lollipop sticks, plastic bags, newspaper, and a scrap of fabric. They want us all to remember their very important message - 'Save our planet as there is no planet B! Well done, Year 3!
Year 4 used Origami, the Japanese art of paper folding with scrap paper to create a recycled art piece. Each origami got progressively more difficult and the children persevered hard with them all. They then painted each origami a colour of the rainbow ready for them to be assembled altogether as a rainbow mobile. Well done, Year 4
The children in Year 3 and 4 used odds and ends of wood cut offs that would otherwise have been thrown away and twigs from the school grounds to create their own imaginative wooden sculptures.
