Today, we started making our own hedgehogs.
We put on some glue and stuck on some straws. Once the glue is dry we can paint them. We discussed what colour a hedgehog is and what they feel like.
We said they are brown, spiky and that we should pick them up
in case we hurt them or they hurt us.

Rosie’s walk - The Mill
Our word of the day today is Mill.
In our story Rosie’s walk, Rosie walks past the mill.
To expand our learning we watched a video to show us what a windmill is used for and what a windmill looks like. We now know that windmills are used to make flour and that they have flags that turn in the wind. After we watched the video about windmills, we made our own using paper, pipe cleaners and stickers. When we blow them they spin around.
We have enjoyed learning about windmills today 😊

We went across the yard,
around the pond,
Over the hay,
through the fence and under the beehives
just like the hen in our story.

🐻 Grass (The grassy field)
🐻 Sticks (The forest)
🐻 Mud (The muddy field)
🐻 Water (The river)
🐻 Cotton wool (The snow storm)
