Summer 1
English
We are using the Place Value of Punctuation and Grammar unit from Grammarsaurus for the first 4 weeks of this half-term. The goal is to help the children become more confident with the basic skills of writing so their overall writing style becomes more fluid and expressive.
Our grammar focus will be:
Grammar basics and to write sentences in increasing detail using this knowledge.
After this, we will be using The Firework Maker's Daughter to write a set of instructions, putting all of our Place Value of Punctuation in Grammar learning into practise.

Our units this half term are Easter and Pentecost:
We will be learning all about the Resurrection of Christ and the events surrounding this. We will look at the reactions of different people towards this event.
We will learn about the key events of Pentecost and the effect this had upon the disciples.
