Easter Bonnet parade and Lent sponsored walk

Today we have been very busy with our parade and walk.
pour teachers were so pleased that we walked very sensibly during the parade and walk.
Thank you to all who made a wonderful Easter bonnet and

a massive thank you to the parents who donated money to Cafods big Lent walk.

One Life Retreat

Today Dan and Emily from One Life Music came to give us a special retreat day. We had a lot of prayerful activities and sang some songs.
We were very excited to see Dan and Emily in our school.

Saint Joseph’s Feast Day

Today we celebrated St Joseph’s feast day in Reception by making a toolbox and choosing different tools to help us be like Saint Joseph and be like Jesus.

When the circus came to school

Today to the circus came to visit us.

We sat and watch Vegetable Stu do some fun tricks.

Then we had a go at spinning plate, we did really well. We even managed to walk around and spin plates at the same time. After that, we were playing with some pieces of cloth that we had to throw up in the air and catch doing some claps and spins before it landed.

It was a lot of fun!

Farm on wheels

We have had a lovely morning in nursery today.
We met some very cute animals from the farm that Stella brought to meet us.

Our favourite was Honey the kid, she was 3 weeks old. Her Mom was called Juliet and she let us stroke her and her baby gently. We also got to give Barry the lamb some milk for his breakfast and we took him on a little walk. We stroked and fed the chickens too. We even got to hold a baby rabbit that was 7weeks old and we got to meet her pet rat, Remy, he was very cute and soft.

World Book Day 2024

We have had a lot of fun in nursery today.
We themed our activities today around the classic story, Goldilocks and the three bears. We really enjoyed our hot chocolate at snack time.

Nursery and Reception visit to church ⛪️
To follow on from our RE unit- Baptism, we walked to our parish church

St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Darlaston to see how Father Craig performs a baptism.

We had chance to role play a baptism with Father Craig.
We had our own priest, parents and godparents.
Everyone was so well behaved. We are so proud of the children.

Rainbow art

In our expressive arts and design, we have been learning the colours of the rainbow. We use our fingers to paint our rainbows. We dabbed, we swiped, we mixed the colours.

It was a lot of fun 🌈

Opening the Garden Centre

Our role play area has now changed into a garden centre. Here we can explore the texture of soil and artificial grass, learn to scoop soil into plant pots, learn how to look after plants such as watering them daily. Keep an eye out for any upgrades 🌷🌼
