  • Year 6 DT Workshop at St Thomas More

Thu 01 Feb 2024 Mrs Hannett

Year 6 were invited by the Design & Technology department at St Thomas More to experience a textile workshop. The focus of the workshop was to design and make a bag for themselves or a family member. The children had to decorate a panel of felt with their design and sew it on to a background felt, using a variety of sewing techniques. They will attach their felt designs onto a bag. The children were very well behaved and had a great time. Thank you to Mrs Bowen and the staff at St Thomas More Catholic School, Willenhall for this fantastic opportunity.

They put together a timeline of the Roman invasion of Britain and then considered "What if...?" questions for each event and how their answers might have changed the course of history as we know it.
