Summer 2
A message for the end of year
To our nursery children leaving us to go to reception or leave for their new school, we will miss you dearly and we hope you have enjoyed your time with us in nursery. We know we have.
To those returning to nursery September, we hope you have a wonderful summer and we will see you at the end of the holidays.
To all of you, Thank you for such a fun year, we have made so many amazing memories from trips, parent workshops and fun activites. You have all been super stars.
Enjoy your summer, be safe and make many more happy memories.

Tuesday 16th July, 2024
⭐️Reward day⭐️
Today, we all got our reward for being good at nursery. We had so much fun on the inflatable helter skelter and the obstacle course.
The rain never stops us from having fun!
Week beginning: 8th July, 2024
Nursery was able to finally get outside to play before the rain came back.
Monday 8th July, 2024
Sports Day
Today was EYFS and KS1 sports day.
Nursery did such a good job at each activity.
We took part in:
🏅Our own version of the egg and spoon race,
🏅Space hopper race,
🏅Target throwing,
🏅Long jump,
🏅Long distance throwing,
🏅Running races.
Week beginning 23rd June, 2024
We have had a lot of fun learning through play this week.
We have been washing clothing items in the water tray and hanging them on the washing line to dry. We have also had a lot of fun in our seaside souvenir shop in our role play area inside the classroom. In the shop, we have practiced our manners saying please and thank you as well as paying with money for our items. We have had so much fun!

Today has been our pirate parent workshop.
We have had a lot of fun doing our pirate themed activities.
We have:
🏴☠️ had a pirate PE lesson, we even learned how to balance walking the plank
🏴☠️ made a pirate ship
🏴☠️ hunted in the sand for treasure
🏴☠️ searched the water tray for seashells and shipwrecks
We have loved having our parents with us to enjoy pirate day.

Our trip to Tanglewood for the Teddy bears picnic
We have had a fantastic day today on our trip.
🐻 We had a talk about what animals we find in the woods.
🐻 We found all the hiding teddy bears and made them
houses made from things we can find in the woods.
🐻 We wore bear hats and found cards that show us
what bears need to live such as food, water and shelter.
🐻 We stuck different colour flowers to our teddy bear pictures.
🐻 We played some fun games with our teddy bears on the parachute.
We also had a very yummy picnic with our teddies and friends.
Tuesday 11th June, 2024
Making music 🎶
Today, we independently started a class music band. We got some pots and pans from the mud kitchen and found things to make a sound on them. We had a lot of fun making a lot of noise.
Week beginning 3rd June
Welcome back everyone for our summer 2 term. This week we have started our learning about pirates. We are enjoying playing with the pirate ships and saying ”Arrrr“ each other.
We also had chance to go outside for some playtime while the sun was shining. We played pirates outside with our pirate figures. They needed to follow the map to find the treasure.
In PE, this week we have been practising our jumping and balancing skills. We had to take our fishy (bean bag) from one island to the other without touching the floor. Then, we tried to balance and bounce on the space hoppers. When we went outside we pretended to walk the plank along the pieces of wood.
