Writing

In our English lessons, will be looking ‘Into The Forest’ and writing a setting descriptions. We will be using adjectives to describe and conjunctions to add detail. Secondly, we will be writing a set of instructions on how to grow a plant.

 

Maths –

  • Word problems.
  • Multiplication (10 x table, 5 x table, 2 x table)
  • Division
  • Fractions

 

Religious Education (R.E.)

Lent- This unit is designed to develop the children’s knowledge and understanding of Lent as a time of change and of growing to be more like Jesus by following his example. In the unit the children will explore various aspects of Jesus’ message and ways in which Christians can apply these to real life situations.

Holy week- This unit is designed to develop the children’s knowledge and understanding of the important events of Holy Week and how they tell of the last days of Jesus’ life on earth. The unit focuses on Palm Sunday, the Last Supper and the Stations of the Cross

 

Physical Education (P.E.)

Children will need their PE kit in school on Monday and Thursday. In PE, the children will be looking at tennis with Mr Davies.

 

Personal,  Social & Health Education (PSHE) –

  • LTTF: Created to love others – Religious Understanding. LTTF: Created to love others – Personal relationships and British Values.
  • We will also be looking at safety. We will be discussing good and bad secrets, people who can help us in emergencies and we will be reflecting on the importance of saying sorry. 
  • We will also be reminding ourselves of our online safety and ways to stay safe online.
  • We will be reminding ourselves what the word ‘inclusive’ means and celebrating our difference.

 

Music-

  • Develop listening skills using different sounds on keyboards and through live and recorded audio performances.

 

Science-

In our Science topic, the children are learning about The Animal Kingdom. Animals come in all shapes and sizes. They live in different places like jungles, oceans, and even our homes. Some animals fly, some swim, and others walk on land. Each has unique features, like fur or scales. Learning about the animal kingdom helps us understand the incredible variety of creatures on Earth. We are off on a school trip to Dudley Zoo this term as part of our science learning.
