Year 4 Roman Workshop Day

Year 4 enjoyed a Roman workshop in school yesterday. They acted out the story of Romulus and Remus to understand how the city of Rome began; completed an information orienteering challenge to learn lots of facts about the Roman Empire and way of life; played two different Roman games, one using a coin and the other which was similar to tic tac toe; marched like a Roman legion and learnt how to intimidate their opponents and charge at them. They saw lots of Roman artefacts including a shield, a toilet sponge and armour. Finally, they got to act like Gladiators in the ring and battle with (foam) swords.

They had a fantastic day and shared their extensive knowledge with the workshop leader. Well done Year 4!
