We have done so much learning and playing in nursery this half term.
We have done all of our literacy texts for this half term, our favourite story has been brown bear, brown bear.
We have done our maths learning of colours, numbers 1&2 and positional language.
We have done so many fun activities, our favourite activities were making the rainbow sun catchers and making our self portraits.

🎶 Music with Miss Scoines 🎶
This week, in music Miss Scoines taught us about rhythmic notation.
She taught how to clap and draw a moth, spider and butterfly rhythm.

Today we have been learning and performing the nursery rhyme ring o ring of roses.

Harvest Festival 2024
Today is our school harvest festival. The children have been bringing in tins of food to share with people who are less fortunate.
We had our own special lesson to learn about why we take part in the harvest festival.
We listened and sang to some harvest songs and took part in a prayer.

We have had a very fun busy week with lots of craft activities to support our learning in different lessons such as:
In RE, we painted the world.
In Expressive arts and design, we created our very own rainbow sun catchers.
In Understanding the world, we made our own rainbow.

🎶 Music with Miss Scoines 🎶
In music today, we have been singing a song called three little birds by Bob Marley and we have also been singing some nursery rhymes such as Five little speckled frogs and Old MacDonald had a farm.
We have also been singing songs to help us recognise our colours.
By singing ”I can see the colour…..“ and filling in the colour. We then find something in the classroom that is that colour.

This week, we have been learning a lot about colours. Naming and identifying our colours through different activities.
We have continued our learning about brown bear, brown bear. We are really enjoy singing along with the story.
We have also played with all of our favourite things in nursery 😁

We would like to thank all the parents that attended our parent workshop today.
The children really enjoyed having you learn and play with them in nursery. We hope that our workshop helped you understand the importance of story time reading and talking about the story expanding on ideas that encourage the children to use their imaginations.
Week Beginning 9th September 2024
We have had a lot of fun this week, continuing to build friendships with the other children in our class. We have had many favourite activities throughout the week. Some of our favourites have been painting with the paint dabbers, playing in the water tray, looking after the babies and having tea parities in the home corner.
We have settled so well this week.
