places and aids associated with prayer, with particular reference to the prayer of praise

and intercession. The children will also explore how Christians give praise to God in the

psalms and in prayers like the “Glory Be To The Father” and the “Our Father”

Advent- This unit is designed to develop the children’s understanding of Advent as a time of waiting and preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus and his coming again. The unit

also develops the children’s understanding of Advent as a joyful liturgical season and allows them to participate in a special liturgy.

Maths – In Maths, we’re focusing on numbers 0 to 5, helping students recognise, count, and understand these foundational numbers. We’ll also explore 2D and 3D shapes by identifying, composing, decomposing, and manipulating them through hands-on activities. This builds confidence with shapes, patterns, and spatial awareness in a fun, engaging way.

English - In Writing, we’ll explore The Storm Whale by creating a non-fiction piece inspired by the story, and The Tiger Who Came to Tea, where we’ll craft our own imaginative tales. Our focus is on using capital letters, full stops, and adjectives to make sentences clear, descriptive, and engaging for readers.

Spelling, Punctuation & Grammar –

This half term, we will be focusing on our capital letters, full stops and adjectives.

Through stories and activities, students will explore their lives, contributions, and how they inspire us today.

Science – Our topic, "Seasons and Change," introduces children to the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. We’ll explore how weather, plants, and animals change with each season, learning about temperature, daylight, and seasonal activities.
