Spring 2

Religious Education (R.E.) –

In RE, we will be learning about Lent – thinking about the concept of temptation as we study the temptations of Jesus. We will also be looking into human relationships and how these should be nurtured and reflect on Christian healing through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

We will then progress onto Holy Week, where the children will gain a greater knowledge and understanding of the last week of

Jesus’ life and how the Church celebrates this week through liturgy and prayer.

Reading into Writing –

In Reading into Writing this half term, we are reading the novels Diver’s Daughter and Treason to link with our history learning about the Tudors.

Computing –

Creating media – introduction to vector graphics. In this unit, children will create vector drawings. They learn how to use different drawing tools to help them create images, recognise that images in vector drawings are created using shapes and lines, and each individual element in the drawing is called an object. The children will then layer their objects and begin grouping and duplicating them to support the creation of more complex pieces of work.
