Year Six
Welcome to Year 6!
The members of staff are Miss Maher and Mrs Cornes 
Children are required to be at school between 8.40 and 8.55am each morning.
Important Dates / Fun things happening in Year 6:
- Swimming lessons every Tuesday– please make sure the children have the correct swimming equipment: towel, swimming cap, trunks above the knee / swimming costume.
- Monday 1st June – Friday 5th June – Bike Right Bikeability for Year 6 pupils – 6 children per day (please see your child’s planner to see which day they are completing this)
- Tuesday 2nd June – Year 6 start swimming lessons
- Wednesday 3rd June – Class Photographs
- Monday 8th June – PE enrichment day – Bring PE kit to school this day
- Monday 15th June – French workshop – parents invited
- Wednesday 24th June – Year 6 RE lesson – parents invited
- Friday 26th June – Year 6 Music Exam
- Monday 29th June – Year 6 Leaver’s Play for Parents – 2.15pm
- Tuesday 30th June – Year 6 Leaver’ Play for Parents – 2.15pm
- Tuesday 30th June – St Thomas More Induction Evening for parents and children
- Wednesday 1st July – St Thomas More Transition Day

Please ensure children have the correct PE kit on these days.
Reading Books
The children need to bring their reading books into school every day as we have quiet reading time every morning. The more they read - the more quizzes they can complete. Please continue to read with your children at home.
