Snow Day Work 9.1.26

Science-Investigate how snow is made. Can you write a description of how it happens for a younger child?

English- Writing-Construct an argument based around either:  For or against schools closing in the snow

English Reading- Take time to read for pleasure- read your favourite book in the warmth of your home. Complete the LBQ Comprehension- Code: ur cf rn t3

DT-Can you go outside and build a snowman or a structure? What types of natural materials and you find to use?

Maths- TTRS- Use Times Table Rockstars or use https://www.timestables.co.uk/ Use this opportunity to complete work on this terms KIRFS. 

Welcome to Year 5! 

Our teachers are Miss Goodwin and Mrs Applegarth. 

Children are required to be at school between 8.40 and 8.55am each morning. 

Our PE days are:

Mondays with SWIMMING ON TUESDAYS

Please ensure children have their PE kit with them on these days - a red round-neck PE t-shirt, navy blue shorts and black pumps.

Outdoor PE kit with warm jogging bottoms and a jumper can be worn when/if the weather starts to get colder. 

Please ensure children have sensible and plain black or white trainers for outdoor PE.

Reading Books

The children need to bring their reading books into school every day. The more they read - the more quizzes they can complete. Please continue to read with your children at home and write in their planners what they have read.
