Eggs have arrived
Tue 25 Feb 2025Nursery and Reception received a very special delivery today! Our eggs have arrived. In nursery 7 chicken eggs are in the incubator, staying nice and warm before they hatch later this week. Reception's ducklings will be hatching very soon, as some of the eggs have already pipped and we can already hear them chirping so we might have some ducklings by the morning!

Safer Internet Day Year Two
Wed 12 Feb 2025Year 2 have been learning all about Safer Internet Day. They thought carefully about how to stay safe online and created some informative posters to remind everyone of the important rules. Fantastic work year 2!

Safer Internet Day 2025
Tue 11 Feb 2025Today in assembly for safer internet day the children were thinking about the phrase-Too good to be true? Protecting themselves and others from scams online. We are started a conversation about how to spot, respond to and report scams of all types online. The children were able to discuss with their partners how to spot and respond to a scam.

Year 5 visit to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra
Mon 10 Feb 2025This morning, Year 5 watched the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall in Birmingham. They had a fantastic experience hearing a full orchestra play pieces of music from around the world. They heard music by Japanese, Argentinian, Indian, American, Irish, French, British and Russian composers, including some famous pieces like 'Hedwig's Theme' from Harry Potter, the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack, Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake and Lord of the Dance, among others. Behaviour, as always, was exemplary, the children were an absolute joy to take and they thoroughly enjoyed it

Year Two Class Assembly
Fri 07 Feb 2025The Year Two class assembly today was fantastic. The children taught us all about the Great Fire of London through their drama, readings and songs. The readers spoke clearly and everyone played their part well. It was great to see so many parents watching the children and I am sure you were all extremely proud of them all. Well done Year Two.

Children's Mental Health Week 2025
Thu 06 Feb 2025This year’s Children’s Mental Health Week theme is Know Yourself, Grow Yourself. The more we can understand about ourselves, the more prepared we are to express our emotions and take on life’s ups and downs. Year Four have been completing some activities to help them explore their different emotions and grow themselves.

Year Two Celebration of the Word
Thu 06 Feb 2025The liturgy leaders in Year 2 this week planned and delivered a lovely prayer and liturgy all about the parable 'The Lost Sheep'. Children thought carefully about what Jesus' message was and reflected upon how God loves and cares for us all just like the shepherd cares for his sheep. The children came up with some wonderful I wonder questions about the parable and sang beautifully. Amazing work Year 2!
