  • Lots of learning in Nursery!

    There is always lots going on in Nursery! The children have been enjoying their learning indoors and out, learning about Pentecost, summer picnics, weight, working in teams to build planes, ships, trains and towers, enjoying nature and developing their fine motor skills by threading, cutting, writing and drawing.

  • Reception class summer learning fun!

    Reception have been exploring capacity in maths recently. They had a race to see which team could fill their container the quickest using different sized cups. Their 'Under the Sea' topic has been very popular so far. They have been using their fine motor skills to sew their own fish teddies and have been exploring the new role play area using masks and snorkels!

  • Making greenhouses in Science

    In Science today, children have used cotton wool, zip lock bags and cress to create their own greenhouses. The children were able to explain why we need greenhouses and how the plants grow in them. 

     

  • Gold coin winners!

    Congratulations to these children who were chosen by their teachers to receive a gold coin for our book vending machine in this morning's assembly. It was lovely to hear about how hard they are all working and their excellent attitudes. Keep it up children! I wonder, who will be chosen next time?

    Year 4 enjoyed their science lesson this week, investigating floating and sinking.

  • Puppet workshop

    The children in Years 2 and 6 both took part in Puppet workshops today. It was a great opportunity for the children's personal development as they worked in groups to make, improve and move their puppets. It took teamwork, good communication and perseverance to get their puppets to move in the way they wanted to.

  • Y2 Editing and improving their work

    Before it got too hot today, the children in Year 2 enjoyed some of their English lesson outside. They spent time editing and improving their character descriptions. The children read each others work and gave feedback to each other. Well done Year 2!
