  • Year 4 tooth decay investigation

    Year 4 have been investigating which drink causes more tooth decay over 3 days using eggs and a variety of liquids. They have talked about how to carry out a fair test and will observe at the same time each day.

  • Farm on Wheels visits Early Years

    Our children in Early Years have been learning all about Spring and Growth this half term. This morning they had a very special visit from The Farm On Wheels. The children thoroughly enjoyed their learning.

  • BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS!

    We have had two very exciting deliveries at school . . . our very own, personalised book vending machine and lots of brand new, beautiful books to fill it. We love reading at St. Joseph's!

    The children are very excited to see who will be awarded the very first shiny, gold tokens during our Celebration Assembly on Friday morning!

  • Celebrating St Josephs Feast Day

    Happy St. Joseph's Day! Yesterday, we celebrated the Feast of St. Joseph in school by: praying together, being creative, learning about our school patron saint and all children enjoyed a treat.

  • Pupils Walk Against Hunger to raise money for CAFOD!

    Well done to our Mini Vinnies who organised a fantastic fundraising event today in school. By taking part in a Walk Against Hunger for CAFOD, we have raised a fantastic £999.14 so far! It has been humbling to see the kindness and generosity of our school community during Lent. Thank you to everyone who sponsored the children. Please send in any remaining sponsor money next week.

  • Year 6 uniform debate!

    In English, Year 6 are writing a balanced argument. Today, they were debating whether children should wear a school uniform and showing arguments for and against. They used appropriate causal conjunctions and adverbials in their class debate.

  • Nursery go vegetable crazy!

    Nursery are reading the story 'Oliver's Vegetables' this week. They are having lots of fun learning the names of vegetables, tasting them, writing shopping lists and buying vegetables in the shop, investigating whether they float or sink and digging them up out of the soil. In maths they have been weighing different vegetables to find out which ones are heavier and which are lighter. 

  • Daffodil fun!

    Our Nursery children have enjoyed spotting daffodils around the school grounds and on their way to and from school. They have also enjoyed creating daffodils using collage materials, egg boxes and paper and painting pictures of them.
