Reception Falconry Visit
Thu 26 Sep 2024Reception have been reading the story ‘Owl Babies’ and learning about owls. We thought they needed to meet some owls to help them understand even more about them!
Steve from Shropshire Falconry came to visit the Reception children this morning. The children were so well behaved and kind to the owls. They loved all of our special visitors, especially Florence the Verreaux Eagle Owl and Beanie the tiny Little Owl!

Nursery Parent Workshop
Fri 20 Sep 2024Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who attended our Nursery Parent Workshop yesterday. The children really enjoyed having you in school to learn and play with them.
We hope the workshop supported you in understanding the importance of reading lots of stories, talking to your child about the story and helping the children to use their imagination.

Year 6 Oak House Trip
Fri 13 Sep 2024Year 6 had a fantastic day at Oak House this week, experiencing life as either rich or poor Tudor children. They were a credit to the school both in their knowledge and behaviour. Well done Year 6!

Food for Life Award!
Wed 26 Jun 2024We are very pleased to have been awarded a Food for Life Schools Award. The award shows that St Joseph's is doing fantastic work to provide healthy school meals, great lunchtimes and food education that has a positive impact on both pupils and the wider community. Well done to everyone for their part in achieving this award and a special well done to Miss Maher, our Food for life leader in school.

Year 6 DT Workshop at St Thomas More
Thu 01 Feb 2024Year 6 were invited by the Design & Technology department at St Thomas More to experience a textile workshop. The focus of the workshop was to design and make a bag for themselves or a family member. The children had to decorate a panel of felt with their design and sew it on to a background felt, using a variety of sewing techniques. They will attach their felt designs onto a bag. The children were very well behaved and had a great time. Thank you to Mrs Bowen and the staff at St Thomas More Catholic School, Willenhall for this fantastic opportunity.

Exciting news for next year!
Fri 26 Jan 2024After watching the sheer joy and excitement on the children’s faces at the panto last week, we have booked tickets for next year’s pantomime at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre for all children who will be in Years 1-6!

Y3 Bake bread at St Thomas More
Thu 25 Jan 2024Year 3 spent a wonderful morning at St Thomas More Catholic School, Willenhall today, learning about different types of bread...and most importantly, baking some of their own! A big thank you to the staff there who made this possible for our children!
