Year One Celebration of the Word
Wed 22 Jan 2025This afternoon, some of our Year 1 children led a heartfelt and inspiring Prayer and Liturgy service centered around the theme of kindness. They shared the story of The Good Samaritan, reflecting on its meaning and discussing how it makes them feel. As part of their thoughtful preparation, the children organised a special activity: each child drew a heart and then symbolically shared their love by giving it to someone else in their class. It was a truly touching and meaningful experience for everyone involved.

Year 6 visit to St Chad's Cathedral in Birmingham
Wed 08 Jan 2025Year 6 visited St Chad's Cathedral in Birmingham today. They enjoyed learning more about the Sacrament of Confirmation, the History of the cathedral and the role of Archbishop Bernard.
Following their tour, the class joined the cathedral parishioners and other visitors for Mass. Three of our Year 6 pupils who are all regular altar servers at St Joseph's Church, Darlaston in the St. John Henry Newman Parish served reverently and respectfully.
The cathedral guides were very impressed by the children's knowledge, understanding and behaviour and our staff are incredibly proud of them all. Well done Year 6, you are a credit to St. Joseph's.
