Y6 learn about Neurodiversity
Wed 22 Mar 2023As part of their learning in PSHE, Year 6 enjoyed an 'Introduction to neurodiversity'. It was a really interesting afternoon which helped them to think about how to ensure everyone is included, valued and respected. Well done Year 6

Y2 Farm visit
Wed 22 Mar 2023Year 2 had a fantastic day at the farm today with Farmer John. They had a ride on the trailer, found out about how crops are harvested, had a minibeast hunt, fed and held a variety of animals and even watched some lambs being born! What an amazing experience! Thank you Farmer John.

Y1 Family learning workshop
Wed 22 Mar 2023Year 1 children have had a lovely afternoon with their parents during our 'Board Games and Cafe afternoon'. This focused on our maths skills such as counting, balancing, addition and subtraction. Everyone enjoyed playing games with their parents and really enjoyed a game of Bingo! Thank you all that came along. Well done Year 1!

Healthy bodies and heart dissection workshop
Tue 21 Mar 2023Today, the children in KS2 took part in a healthy eating and heart dissection workshop. They talked about the importance of a healthy diet, how we can look after our heart and the foods we should be eating to keep our hearts healthy. The children looked at an ox heart and even had the chance to dissect a lamb’s heart. The children were able to identify the valves, the veins ,arteries and the aorta. What an amazing experience to make their science learning come to life!

Year 2 make micro habitats in Science
Fri 17 Mar 2023Year 2 have been learning about micro habitats in Science. This afternoon we create some of our own micro habitats for the insects in our school grounds to live in.

Year 6 Science at a working farm
Fri 17 Mar 2023Year 6 had a fantastic day at a working farm in Coleshill today with Farmer John. The children developed their scientific knowledge and understanding by finding out what is involved in working on a farm, from caring for the animals to considering how worms affect soil samples and the different types of soil needed for crops to grow. Thank you Farmer John!

Year 4 Maths Scavenger Hunt - 24 hour times
Fri 17 Mar 2023Year 4 enjoyed completing a maths scavenger hunt this week to revise their learning about the 24 hour times. Well done Year 4!

STEM Workshop - Electric vehicles
Fri 17 Mar 2023Year 5 & 6 enjoyed a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) workshop this week. They co-operated well with one another to design and build electric vehicles! Well done children.

Y1 learn about trees in Science
Thu 16 Mar 2023In Science today, Year One were learning about evergreen and deciduous trees. The children found out that evergreen trees keep their leaves all year round, whereas deciduous trees lose their leaves in the Autumn time. To demonstrate this, one group of children pretended to be the evergreen trees and the other group were deciduous trees who lost their leaves when Autumn came. Well done Year 1!

Y5 Family learning workshop
