Year 5 trip Oak House
Thu 03 Apr 2025Year 5 had a fantastic trip to Oak House in West Bromwich today. They immersed themselves in Tudor culture - playing the roles of either rich or poor children preparing for a wedding banquet for the House Master's daughter. The children behaved impeccably well and engaged beautifully with their roles, really feeling the emotions and expectations of children at the time. They then had some well-deserved play time on the playground and had a tour of the house. It was a fabulous day in the sunshine, a great time had by all. The children, as always, were a credit to St Joseph's.

Food Waste Bins
Mon 31 Mar 2025Today in assembly this morning, the children were introduced to our new food waste bins. The initiative aims to cut the amount of rubbish ending up in landfill, cut gas emissions and to use food waste to produce renewable energy. By adding our food waste into a separate bin we are taking care of God's creation and thinking about how we can be stewards by protecting our beautiful world. Year Two have been busy designing posters to help us remember to recycle and out our food waste in the food waste bins.
