  • Homes for Hedgehogs!

    Year 3 have been reading 'The Hodgeheg' by Dick King Smith. The children decided they wanted to create homes in our school garden for any hedgehogs who might like to live in the school grounds.

  • Where the Bees fly Drama project

    Over the last two weeks, each of our KS2 classes have enjoyed taking part in a drama project called 'Where the Bees Fly', focusing on the theme of Climate Change. It has been a great opportunity for the children to develop their Geographical and Scientific understanding of climate change but also to interview an actor, learn more about the theatre and to grow in confidence when speaking and performing. Well done children!

  • Y4 retelling 'The Anointing of David'

    Year 4 have been learning about the Anointing of David in their RE lessons. They enjoyed retelling the story through drama.

  • Chinese New Year storytelling in Nursery

    In Nursery the children have heard the story behind the animals for Chinese New Year. As the teachers read the story, the children acted out the movements and sounds of each of the different animals. Can you spot the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig?

  • Nursery parents join in at storytime

  • Early Years visit church to learn about Baptism

    In church today, Nursery and Reception were learning about Baptism. The children acted out the Baptism of a doll from the classroom. They enjoyed looking for all of the important artefacts used in Baptism such as the candle, font, holy water and oil. They helped Father Elijah with some of the special words he needed to say. They were so well behaved throughout their visit, well done children! A big thank you to the parents and carers who helped us to walk the Early Years children along to church safely today, we couldn't have done it without you!

  • Y6 learn about evolution with the Natural History Museum

    Year 6 participated in a virtual Evolution workshop from Natural History Museum today. They learned how animals and their environments evolved over time. They had to use their scientific skills of observing closely and working as a team.

  • Finding out about how the police help us in Reception

    Last Friday, the children in Reception had a visit from some police officers. They talked to the children about all of the different jobs that they do to help people in our area and showed them some of their special equipment such as their radio, protective clothing, baton and handcuffs! The children then had a special treat when the police van came on to our playground and the officers let Reception class have a look inside. Mrs Kaur really enjoyed turning on the siren!

  • Reception to the rescue!

    Our Reception children helped to paint and build their own fire engine last week. This week they enjoyed role play in their fire station. The firefighters were excellent at getting to emergencies quickly, putting out fires and rescuing people while our doctors made sure everyone was ok!

  • Year 5 visit Salford Quays and appear on Blue Peter!

    Year 5 are at Media City in Salford! They enjoyed walking around Salford Quays, looking at the impressive city buildings and bridges. 

    They enjoyed learning about how a live TV broadcast is put together, meeting the presenters and appearing live on television! It was a fantastic opportunity and they were  delighted to each receive their own Blue Peter badge.
