Year 4 Computer research in RE
Wed 11 Jan 2023Year 4 have been researching the religious lives and inspiration of either: Pope John Paul II, Mother Teresa or St Francis of Assisi. The children worked very hard searching for the most accurate facts. Well done, Year 4

Author visit to Year 1 & 2
Wed 11 Jan 2023Author Kathy Tallentire visited our Year 1 and Year 2 classes last week. She read her book, 'The Whisker Twitchers' to the class and talked about the process she goes through of writing books.
She spoke to the class about how they could change the characters in the story to make it their own. The children came up with some amazing ideas about what changes they could make.
To finish the session, Kathy read another one of her books, 'Rescue Me', which the children thoroughly enjoyed. The children were all delighted when they were given their own copy of 'The Whisker Twitchers' to take home!

Rocket building inn Reception!
Fri 06 Jan 2023Reception class have been listening to the story 'Whatever Next!' this week. They have enjoyed making their own rockets using the building blocks outside.

Epiphany Blessings
Fri 06 Jan 2023To celebrate the Feast of The Epiphany, Fr Craig visited school this afternoon to bless some chalk so that some of our prayer leaders could use it to bless their classrooms for the new year ahead. They did a super job of leading their classes in prayer.

Y2 Measuring in metres
Fri 06 Jan 2023Year 2 have been comparing lengths using metres in their maths lessons. They measured different coloured lines on the playground with a metre stick and compared them when back in class.

Y2 local area walk in Geography
Fri 06 Jan 2023Yesterday in their Geography lesson, Year 2 followed a map to walk around the local area in Darlaston looking at human and physical features. On their walk they noticed that most of the features in our local area are made by people which makes them human features.

Y4 Collaborate Poetry Work
Fri 16 Dec 2022Y4 worked in groups to create their own rhyming couplet using a word given to them and discussing which words rhyme with this word. They then carouselled large pieces of paper around the room to build a class Christmas poem.

Year 3 Pedestrian Safety Training
Thu 15 Dec 2022Year 3 completed their 'Pedestrian Training' in the local area last week. They considered the dangers they may encounter and learned how to cross different roads safely. Well done Year 3!
