Reception to the rescue!
Fri 27 Jan 2023Our Reception children helped to paint and build their own fire engine last week. This week they enjoyed role play in their fire station. The firefighters were excellent at getting to emergencies quickly, putting out fires and rescuing people while our doctors made sure everyone was ok!

Year 5 visit Salford Quays and appear on Blue Peter!
Fri 27 Jan 2023Year 5 are at Media City in Salford! They enjoyed walking around Salford Quays, looking at the impressive city buildings and bridges.
They enjoyed learning about how a live TV broadcast is put together, meeting the presenters and appearing live on television! It was a fantastic opportunity and they were delighted to each receive their own Blue Peter badge.

Five currant buns - learning fun in Nursery
Fri 27 Jan 2023Nursery have been learning the rhyme 'Five currant buns'. They have also enjoyed getting messy with flour, raisins and cooking equipment!

Year 6 listen to a Holocaust Survivor
Thu 26 Jan 2023Tomorrow is Holocaust Memorial Day. As Year 6 will be learning about World War II in their History lessons in the summer term, they participated in a live online presentation given by a Holocaust Survivor. The children were given a first hand account, about how difficult life was like, living as a Jewish family in Nazi occupied Holland. They listened and discussed what they had found out with great empathy and maturity; well done Year 6.

Reception Maths fun!
Thu 26 Jan 2023In Reception, the children have been learning to add by combining amounts this week. They played a game outside with beanbags and had to work out their total score. Inside, they used plates and added their counters altogether. Some of them also had a go at writing their own number sentences.

Year 1 learn about invertebrates
Thu 26 Jan 2023In Science this afternoon, Year 1 were learning all about invertebrates. They were lucky enough to be able to meet some invertebrates and even hold some. They talked about insects and crustaceans.
