Making greenhouses in Science
Mon 20 Jun 2022In Science today, children have used cotton wool, zip lock bags and cress to create their own greenhouses. The children were able to explain why we need greenhouses and how the plants grow in them.

Gold coin winners!
Fri 17 Jun 2022Congratulations to these children who were chosen by their teachers to receive a gold coin for our book vending machine in this morning's assembly. It was lovely to hear about how hard they are all working and their excellent attitudes. Keep it up children! I wonder, who will be chosen next time?

Puppet workshop
Thu 16 Jun 2022The children in Years 2 and 6 both took part in Puppet workshops today. It was a great opportunity for the children's personal development as they worked in groups to make, improve and move their puppets. It took teamwork, good communication and perseverance to get their puppets to move in the way they wanted to.

Y2 Editing and improving their work
Thu 16 Jun 2022Before it got too hot today, the children in Year 2 enjoyed some of their English lesson outside. They spent time editing and improving their character descriptions. The children read each others work and gave feedback to each other. Well done Year 2!

Year 2 Animation workshop
Mon 13 Jun 2022What a busy day in Year Two! The children took part in a computer workshop this afternoon. They explored animation and were able to make their own animated pictures. Some of the children added sound to their animations too. Excellent work Year Two!

Outdoor Maths Y2
Mon 13 Jun 2022In Maths, Year 2 have been learning about pictographs and tally charts and have been exploring pictorial representation of data. They voted for their favourite fruits, lessons and hobbies and then compared the results. They also extended their learning by using the chalk to create their own tally charts in small groups.
