English:

I would like you to watch the video below which will read the story The Tiny Seed to you.

The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle || An INSPIRING Adventure! [CC] - YouTube

When you have listened to and read the story, I would like you to draw a story map of the story. Just like you did for Handa’s Surprise. Once you have drawn it, adding the journey the seed goes on, I would like you to add key words, e.g. label the seasons, mountains, ocean, etc.

Phonics:

Please watch the RWI video clips below about how to read Green Word Time 1.6 words and how to spell them for writing. We have placed an exercise book in your home learning packs, which will help you to write the words in so you can see your progress and hard work.

Maths:

Please watch the Cbeebies video clip about number 14. (See link below)

https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m00029tp/numberblocks-series-3-fourteen

I would like you to have a go at creating the number 14 numberblock character. You could do this by drawing it in your exercise book, creating it out of playdough or by using toys/junk modelling objects.

Then I would like you to have a go at making the number 14 numberblock character in different ways, e.g. number 10 numberblock with a number 4 numberblock / number 7 numberblock with another number 7 numberblock etc. How many ways can you make 14 using the different numberblock characters?

PE:

Today I would like you have a go at doing some indoor PE. Today’s Session is on Gymnastics.

Please follow the instructions on the photo (see below). You can complete this gymnastics session in your own time and remember to have fun!

Purple Mash:

We would like you to have a go at completing the activity on purple mash that asks you to design your own Spring picture. Use what you have found and seen on your spring walk to help you do this.

Please remember to log on to Purple Mash weekly and access the work we have set for your child to complete. The activities are short and are linked to our current topic or key text.

We love to see your creations and the work you are doing online so please try to complete as many activities as you can!

Mental Health Week Activity:

Have a watch of the video (click on the link below) which is a quick dance to help you to feel happy and safe.
