Google Classroom Update

Hi Year 5

As we are in a new half term,  there will now be 2 meetings per week for our Google Classroom Meets.

You are all in a group called Year 5.

Here are the times:
Mondays at 2:00pm - this is to discuss the lessons for the week on the school website and we will read a book together

Fridays at 2.00pm - this is your end-of-week quiz to check your learning.

You must try to attend both meetings.

You will either need to click the link OR press the camera symbol at the top if you are on tablets/phones.

We look forward to seeing you all

Miss Maher and Mrs Kaur

To Year 5,

As we can't all be at school together, there are activities for you to complete at home. You need to pick up your pack from school. This includes your blue morning book (you will use this book to complete your lessons at home), a CGP reading comprehension book, a times tables book, a pencil and a reading book.

Daily activities will be uploaded on the website for you to complete. However, there are also a range of websites you can access for your learning. Look on the Useful Websites for a list of these and you can also continue to use Purple Mash, TT Rock Stars, etc.

I will be uploading different lessons on here daily which I think you will find useful :)

Just click the link and watch the video / Powerpoint and complete the activities in your morning book using the pencil provided.

You can also complete work in your CGP books and continue to read every night :)

If you want to send in any work by email or just want to send an email to let us know how you are getting on, you can email us at Year5@st-josephs.walsall.sch.uk

Stay safe and take care :)

Miss Maher and Mrs Kaur

Activities to be completed every day

  • Read for at least 20 minutes. This could be a school or home reading book, a story online or a magazine.
  • Complete at least 20-30 minutes exercise. See the PE links below for some ideas.
  • Play TimesTables Rockstars or Numbots for 15- 20 minutes. Make sure you play on both sites throughout the week.
