PE:

Today I would like you have a go at doing some indoor PE. Today’s Session is on Athletics.

Please follow the instructions on the photo (see below). You can complete this athletics session in your own time and remember to have fun!

English:  &  Topic:

Please watch the YouTube video of the story Handa's Surprise. (see link below)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocnRQi89nK8

I would like you to have a go at tasting some fruits from the story. This can be very simple by just tasting common fruits such as oranges & bananas.

I would like you to think about how the fruit tastes when you eat it. Is it sweet or sour? Is it juicy? Is it soft or hard? Does it have pips or seeds?

Think of words you can use to describe the fruit you are tasting – tangy, juicy, delicious, sweet, sour, tasty etc. and write it in a sentence. For example, The banana was soft. / The orange was tangy. / The mango was juicy.

Please try to remember to use your phonic knowledge when writing these sentences, as well as using a capital letter, finger spaces between words and a full stop at the end.

Phonics:

Please watch the RWI video clips below about how to read Green Word Time 1.4 words and how to spell them for writing. We have placed an exercise book in your home learning packs, which will help you to write the words in so you can see your progress and hard work.

Maths:

Today we are going to be recapping the mathematical concept of addition using numbers up to 10.

I would like you to look through the power point (see below) adding numbers to 10 as well as completing the written addition sums.

Then I would like you to have a go at drawing your own part-whole models for each of the addition sums you complete on the power point.

I would also like you to log onto Numbots (See link below) and have a go at playing in Story Mode. This is a great online game for you to practice your counting, addition and subtraction skills!
