Monday 22nd February

Good Morning Nursery. I hope you all had a wonderful half term and you are all ready for another half term of super learning!

Our topic this half term is all about Nursery Rhymes! We will be focusing on a different rhyme every week.

I am really looking forward to seeing you all on our Google Meet at 1pm today. I can't wait to hear what you have been doing last week and to explain some of your learning activities you will be up to.

Before we start our learning, lets start off our week with some collective worship together.

Each day during Lent as a school we will be starting the day with a daily reflection. Although your child might not always understand what is going on, I am sure they will enjoy the music and it can be a time of quietness for you to share with each other.
1. This week our Nursery Rhyme is Humpty Dumpty. Can you join in with the rhyme?
2. I would like you to sequence the main events in the rhyme. What was Humpty doing? Who tried to put him back together? Why couldn’t they fix Humpty?

2. Humpty Dumpty was sitting on a wall. I would like you to have a go at building your own wall for Humpty Dumpty. You could build a wall using wooden blocks, lego, cups or any other construction materials you may have!

3. In your latest home packs we gave you some playdough. If you don’t have any, I have put a playdough recipe below for you to make some. Can you join in with dough disco? We do this to strengthen our muscles in our fingers and our hands to help us hold our pencil with more control so we can write our name and letters.

Today's rhyming story is Hairy McClary. I wonder if you can hear any of the rhyming words that sound the same?
