Wednesday 10th February 2021

English:

Today we are going to continue our learning about Chinese New year. I would like you to use your Chinese Dragon you made yesterday and look at the features you added.

Then, I would like you to write two simple sentences to describe your dragon.

For example, My dragon has big eyes. / My dragon is red. / My dragon has scales. / My dragon has horns.

Remember to use your phonics to help you write your sentences, as well as including capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

Phonics:

Please watch the RWI video clips below about how to read Green Word Time 1.7 words and how to spell them for writing. We have placed an exercise book in your home learning packs, which will help you to write the words in so you can see your progress and hard work.

There is no spelling video but I would like you to have a go at writing some of the words mentioned in the reading video.

Maths:

Today we are going to be doing something fun for Chinese New Year!

I have attached below a photo of how numbers are written in Chinese.

Today we are going to try to write in Chinese! I would like you to use the photo below to have a go at writing numbers 1-10 (or even 1-20 if you want a challenge!) in Chinese.

Don’t forget to send us photos of you writing in Chinese and we can ‘Shout about it’ on our class webpage!

Have fun! J

PE:

Today I would like you have a go at doing some indoor PE. Today’s Session is on Cricket.

Please follow the instructions on the photo (see below). You can complete this cricket session in your own time and remember to have fun!
