    We are absolutely delighted to announce that St. Joseph's has received a National Online Safety Certified School Accreditation for its whole school community approach to protecting children in the online world.

  • St. Joseph's is feeling proud

    The school photographer who spent his day in school yesterday taking the children's photographs has passed on this lovely message... ' I thought you should know that I visit over 300 schools each year. The children at your school are honestly the most well behaved, polite children I have ever worked with.'

    Well done, children! Small acts of kindness like remembering to use your manners make a HUGE difference!

  • Anti Bullying Week

    Anti-bullying week is off to a great start at St. Joseph's. The children look fantastic in their odd socks. In assembly this morning, we used our socks to remind ourselves that we are all unique and we started a ripple of kindness using our kind words. Bullying is never okay! In our classes this week we will learn more about what bullying is and make sure we all know what to do if bullying happens to us or someone we know. #antibullyingweek2021 #oddsocksday2021

  • Diwali fun in EYFS

    Our children in Early Years had lots of fun learning about Diwali last week. They spent the day dancing, dressing up, making Rangoli patterns with chalk, having Mehndi patterns drawn on their hands, making diva lamps out of clay and trying some tasty Indian food. They had a wonderful day!

  • Footballing success!

    Last week some of our Year 6 pupils represented the school in a league football match against St. Thomas of Canterbury. The team played brilliantly and won their match 2-0! Great team work!

    It has been a very busy week in Nursery - learning about Bonfire night, Remembrance day, carrying out experiments for World Science day and learning about Diwali.

  • Year 2 Art - Mosaics

    In their art lesson this week, Year 2 have been making mosaics of different minibeasts. Fantastic work, children!

  • Diwali Dance

    We love to learn about different cultures and religions at St Joseph's. Key Stage 1 & 2 took part in Diwali Dance workshops this week. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and the instructor was incredibly impressed by the children's excellent behaviour as well as their fantastic dance skills. Well done children!

  • Science Dome - My Body

    On World Science Day, 11th November, we had a visit from the Science Dome. Year 1 - 6 went on a journey inside the human body. It was fascinating.... the children particularly enjoyed learning about the digestive system!

  • Remembrance Day

    Today we learned more about Remembrance Day. We observed 2 minutes silence with our classes at 11am and gathered for a beautiful whole school Remembrance Day prayer service led by Year 6 after lunch. 'At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.'
